Looking to get a deal on an iPad 2 purchase for the holidays? You may not need to join the hordes of people scrambling for sale items on Black Friday, because retailers like Walmart and Target are currently offering some deals to entice consumers into purchasing a new iDevice.
Walmart has set up an iPad 2 bundle that offers an iPad 2 at regular price ($499 for the base 16GB Wi-Fi model) plus a free 4-port USB wall charger, a device that allows several USB cords to be plugged in to a single outlet.
Customers can also opt to skip the USB charger and choose a discounted Smart Cover instead. With the deal, the polyurethane covers are available for an additional $20, and the leather covers are available for an extra $50. That’s about $20 off the price of an iPad plus a Smart Cover if you were paying full retail price. Customers will also receive a $5 VUDU movie credit when purchasing an iPad 2 on Walmart’s website.
Target has an even better deal right now, offering a $40 Target gift card with the purchase of an iPad 2. The company is also offering a $20 gift card with an iPod Touch purchase, and a $15 gift card for an iPod Nano purchase. Target customers with a Target REDCard can knock another 5% off of the price, dropping the base iPad model down to a mere $436, plus tax. Check your local store listings for more information, as this is not an online deal.
Snap up one of those iPads from Target and sleep in on November 25th, because you’re unlikely to find a better deal. Get to your local Target quick though – quantities are limited and there are no rain checks available.
