Fill Fuzzy Critter Bellies in Hamster Cannon – iPad Game Review
It would be an understatement to say that I’ve played my fair share of physics-based iPad games. It would also be an understatement to say that Hamster Cannon is anything other than awesome fun. It might go without saying that any game with goofy little hamsters as the star characters will make you smile but in this case they might actually make you giggle as well.
These hamsters are starving and it is your responsibility to fill their bellies; if only it were that easy. You start with Golden Noms cereal and no other way to feed these critters besides loading them into a cannon and shooting them toward their supper.
Of course, the delicious bits and bites are not always in a straight line. You need to angle your cannon so the hamsters bounce off the walls and other obstacles such that they don’t miss a single morsel. Good thing these little guys are wearing protective head-gear!
Each of the over 70 levels is set-up like a cage with its own unique layout and decor.
What I liked: While there is perceived violence, the hamsters never get hurt and they are very entertaining. In my view this means children could easily play this game. If you would benefit and be moivated by a little friendly competition, consider challenging each other to see who can get their hamster to eat the most food.
What I didn’t like: Hamsters bounce off of the various cage surfaces differently but there is no quick tutorial or information on exactly what to expect. This means a lot of trial and error that could be avoided.
To buy or not to buy: This game is cute and fun and I would recommend it to all of you!
