Find the Weak Spot and Attack in Toppling Towers HD – iPad Game Review

Toppling Towers HDGuided by a horse who invites you to do things with your fingers in a way that shows he is envious because he only has hooves, Toppling Towers HD will remind you of many physics-based games out there.

The premise is the same as you are used to, use the slingshot to send your shots flying across the screen in an attempt to knock down the castle. In this case, you are also trying to beat the enemies contained within the castle in order to win the current level.

What sets this game apart from the others in this genre is the sarcastic and humorous nature to the characters and the animations. When an enemy falls he is quite theatrical and your horse-guide is quick to offer witticisms and jabs.

The graphics for this game are really quite cute and colorful and the sound effects almost make the game. I did find the interface could be infuriating when the narration would take more than a single screen of real-estate because you needed to keep tapping in order to get through it. I often found myself just tapping quickly to get back to the meat of the game and ignoring what was being ‘said’. Now this should also be seen as a good thing, because they do let you skip past this stuff by tapping on the screen!

What I liked: Big Fish Games understands that the reason that many of us turn to games on our mobile devices is because we want to relax and have some fun without a huge learning curve or incredible amount of hassle.

What I didn’t like: If you do not succeed at winning a level and you wish to retry, it takes entirely too long to reload and let you start again. I guess this would be less of a problem if I was better at the game and didn’t lose so often!

To buy or not to buy: It is really hard to beat this game for the price (free)!

Your incorrect. The game is not free. 4.99 to unlock the full game is not free. That is what us old timers used to call shareware.
