Aquaria Coming Soon to the iPad
The popular side-scrolling PC game Aquaria is coming to an iPad near you. The game’s creators, Derek Yu and Alec Holowka, have teamed up with Andrew Church, who developed an unofficial port of the game for PSP. Scheduled to be released this winter, so if you haven’t already got an iPad 2, here is the reason to get one.
The new version has been optimized for the iPad and runs faster on the second generation tablet. It has been changed in a few ways, the most important being that it uses touch control. Holowka has said that the game will be more accessible to casual players without taking away any of the mystery and excitement. He considers the iPad version to be the best one so far because the touch controls make the gameplay feel more intimate.
The game will be published by Semi Secret in collaboration with Bit Blot (the creators’ company). At the time of writing this, there is no information as to a release date or price.
