Zero1.tv Announces VooMote Zapper for iOS Devices

VooMote Zapper

With studies showing we use our iPads most often while enjoying the comfort of our couches, it only makes sense to have an accessory like the VooMote Zapper. Functioning as both a universal remote as well as a TV guide, this handy little device and accompanying app would seem to be a good companion to your iOS device.

Measuring in at the size of a paperclip, the VooMote needs no batteries and comes in a rainbow of colors that match all of the Smart Cover options. The manufacturer promises that the range will suit any user, offering 4 built-in IR transmitters so you can twist, turn and tilt your device and still have functionality.

The app will be available for free with your purchase and claims to combine your TV Guide, FaceBook and Twitter usage into a single location. This device seems to do a lot, offering to take over for all of your remote controls using what they claim is a 30-second set-up process. It also appears that you can program macros and that the app offers the same learning function seen on higher quality universal remotes.

I sure like the idea of this device. If you are like me, you already have your iPad or iPhone with you anytime you are watching television and there are already enough things taking up space on your coffee table. I also like the idea of being able to take advantage of macros, something that is generally reserved for the most expensive universal remotes available.

VooMote also offers cases that cover the rear of your device. Their cases are available in the same color options as your Smart Cover and VooMote Zapper so you can coordinate all of your accessories.

The VooMote Zapper will be available online and in stores across the US in October, coming in plenty of time to be added to your Christmas wish list.
