iOS 5 is slowly chugging away towards improvement and release, thanks to the efforts of thousands of developers who are constantly working on finding bugs and the Apple team, who is working hard fixing them as they crop up.
This week, Apple has posted new test versions of iOS, iTunes, and Xcode to the Developer Center. iOS 5 beta 6 build 9A5302b has been released, and includes bug fixes for several issues.
The new beta offers solutions for bugs such as syncing with files changed outside of an app, plus fixes for bugs with Game Center and GameKit. One notable bug involving iCloud storage commands has not been fixed.
The new beta release of iTunes, 10.5 beta 6 syncs to the new iOS 5 beta and the new Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 3. In addition to these changes, Apple TV owners will now be able to use a beta 5 release, and iWork for iOS beta 2 now takes advantage of iCloud.
The final version of iOS 5 is expected to be released sometime in the fall, likely in early October. For a look at the full change log of iOS 5 beta 6, click here.
