Griffin Releases StompBox for iOS, Compatible With iShred LIVE
Griffin has just announced that its newest product, Stompbox, is on sale now. StompBox is a pedal board simulator that, when connected to your iPad and guitar, allows you to add a multitude of programmable effects to your axe.
Using a 30-pin connector cable and a ¼” effects pedal input jack, StompBox will plug directly into your iDevice giving you real-life use of music apps.
StompBox allows you to enjoy apps like Frontier Design Group’s iShred, Guitar, and iShred LIVE. When you hook them up, you are able to make better use of the apps’ innumerable guitar effects. StompBox features four assignable foot-activated switches to allow for foot-based control of the various effects. Also included is the Griffin GuitarConnect cable to allow for connection of instruments, headphones, and the iOS device.

Griffin is the maker of other music-related iOS compatible devices, including GuitarConnect, which lets you connect your instrument directly into your iPad for use with effects-based apps and DJ Cable, which lets you listen to outgoing audio while cueing up the next song using the Split Output function in Algoriddim’s djay app. Now, with StompBox in the mix, you can have yourself a veritable rock concert in your living room without having to do any heavy lifting.

StompBox is available now on the Griffin website for $99.
