Star Walk and Other Space Apps for the iPad

Explore the universe tonight using your iPad or iPad 2!  Just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first man in space, Vito Technology announced an update to its award-winning iPad app, Star Walk.

Star Walk’s intuitive interface lets you search and view the night sky like never before.  Discover more than 9,000 stars, planets, constellations and messiers on the iPad’s large screen.

In addition to features found in previous versions of the app, this update offers Augmented Reality for the iPad 2 allowing you to simply point your iPad to a spot in the sky and display that area in real time to explore the wonders of stargazing. This new version also features a calendar of celestial events, true-to-life sky view, extended search mode, and more.

If you don’t already have this impressive app for your iPad, Star Walk is a wonderfully unique educational app that’s a must for anyone who’s ever looked up into the night sky in awe.  The iPad version is available in the App Store for $4.99 and you can pick up the iPhone/iPod Touch version on sale from April 8th until April 12th for $0.99.
