Around the World in 18 Days for the iPad – A Travel Photo Book
Travel enthusiasts celebrate nine of the most wonderful destinations in the world with three colorful and stunning iPad apps: Around the World in 18 Days, 48 Hours in Cairo and 48 Hours in Hong Kong. Experience Hong Kong, Singapore, Cairo, Istanbul, Venice, Zurich, Bruges, London and Paris through the lens of travel photographer and author Andy Davies.
Davies began his journey from his home in Portland, Oregon and traveled to nine countries, toured nine cities, stayed in nine hotels and rode in five trains on his incredible around the world adventure.
Users maneuver their way through hundreds of photos, numerous maps and a host of travel and photography tips by tapping the forward/backward buttons or swiping up and down on each screen. Jump instantly from place to place by selecting a destination in the table of contents and experience the HDR image galleries and video clips.
I love to travel and look forward to experiencing different cultures when I’m outside the US. These apps were designed to feature the experiences of Davies journey and not act as comprehensive travel guides. The photographs highlight popular tourist sites, as well as the day-to-day life of the people who live there. I enjoyed viewing the wonderful pictures the apps had to offer and liked the fact that different pictures were displayed depending on the direction I was holding my iPad. With pictures optimized for both the horizontal and vertical orientations, it was like having two great books in one.
If you love to travel and experience cultures from around the world, you’ll find the photos and information in these apps to be intriguing. You can download Around the World in 18 Days from the App Store for $2.99 for a limited time or pick up 48 Hours in Cairo and 48 Hours in Hong Kong for $0.99 each. Maybe you’ll discover your next summer travel destination!
