Apple Releases iOS 4.3.1 for iPad and iPhone Users

Apple has just released iOS 4.3.1 which brings a number of minor fixes to Apple’s mobile device lineup. The update comes just 14 days after iOS 4.3 was released on March 11 with the launch of the new iPad 2.

The update doesn’t include any major new features but does fix several customer issues including:

• Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)
• Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
• Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
• Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services

The update is for iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS along with 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch owners.

Previous reports indicated Apple was planning to release the update soon and that it would be focused on bug fixes vs. new features.  With the iOS 4.3.1 update, Apple is said to have “fixed” the jailbreak vulnerability found in 4.3.

The update is available via the iTunes Software Update feature.
