A White iPad 2 for this Wednesday?

Will Apple unveil a white iPad 2 this coming Wednesday? New pictures keep popping up all over the net. We’ve heard about the new body design, several case designs, and rumors about a “Light Peak” high-speed connector.

Now a new image of an alleged white iPad 2 part has surfaced, and some believe that Apple will announce a white version of the next generation iPad this week.

The folks at 9to5Mac have released some photos of a digitizer layer with a white bezel that is supposed to be for the next iPad. According to 9to5Mac, the part comes from Shenzhen City via the iFixYouri iPhone repair shop.

The photos also reinforced the rumors about iPad 2 including a front-facing camera. You can see the smaller hole and what could be considered a smaller overall footprint that seems to be using a slightly thinner bezel.

Many of us are expecting to see the new iPad with both front and rear cameras, several internal hardware improvements and 3G versions for both GSM and CDMA carriers. However, these new pictures are surprising given that Apple has been trying to launch a white iPhone 4 for quite sometime.

White? who cares. everyone puts black cases on them these days anyhow. the incremental changes they’re gonna bring are minimal. how about allowing the user to not have to connect to a pc or macbook to upgrade it on its own? a better screen? usb ports? sd card? options to personalize it? who needs a front facing camera or a rear for that matter? we have that on our phones. I’ve had video conferencing on my laptop for the past 6 years. I hope the other tablets catch up. all this macfanboy nonsense is getting old. itunes and the app store owning people. sad, really.

Oh, come on. USB ports? An SD Card? Really? To answer your question (the one part of your comment that’s not whining or vast generalization), I would love to have an iPad with a front and rear-facing camera. Congrats, your laptop has had it forever – lucky you – that means literally nothing to many of us, so possibly YOUR world view isn’t the only one out there?

Um, and the case on my iPad is not black.

You guys just don’t get it…there will be no more white anything. Apple only said they were coming out with a white iPhone as a marketing strategy. Sure, there were white iPhone “leaks” and even announcement but it was all to steal headline way from Android.

You do not have to believe me, because I am sure Apple fans will never believe unless it comes straight from the mouth of Steve Jobs himself.

As for Android… I think ipad 2 stole more than just the headlines. Don’t you think? Just buy one and enjoy it… Stop complaining!
