Control Your DSLR Camera from Your iPad

Looking for a way to broaden your photographic horizons with your DSLR camera? Company onOne Sofware has released an iPad-optimized version of their existing DSLR Camera remote application that works in conjunction with your WiFi enabled computer and compatible Canon or Nikon DSLR cameras.

The DSLR Camera Remote HD application provides a large viewing area where you can adjust your camera settings, fire the shutter, review images, get a live viewfinder preview, and according to the vendor you can even start video recording using your iPad.

In order to make this work, you need to connect your DSLR camera to a WiFi enabled computer that will act as a bridge between your iPad and your camera. However, onOne already offers FREE server software for Mac OS X and Windows that will make your life easier when connecting your iPad with a DSLR.

There are two versions of the DSLR Camera Remote application available. There is an updated DSLR Camera Remote application for the iPhone, which will set you back $19.99. And, the new application for the iPad, which includes all of the features from the iPhone version and has also added video functionality (start/stop/monitor). The iPad version will set you back $49.99.

Several DSLR cameras are supported by the DSLR Camera Remote HD application. To review all supported cameras click here.
