Adonit WRITER for iPad – An Approved Kickstarter Project

We’ve covered several iPad accessory concepts that have been developed via the Kickstarter initiative. Without a doubt, many interesting and creative product concepts have been submitted over the last year.
However, the key question has always been – will any of these products get funded (“kickstarted”)? Well, the Adonit WRITER for iPad did raise enough funding and has received the stamp of approval.
The WRITER, is an iPad case and keyboard. It’s a great companion for enhancing productivity and expanding the proficiency of your iPad. The keyboard is made out of a sleek aluminum body, and it also glides along a magnetic strip allowing for multiple screen angles and the stability you need.
The WRITER also comes with an LED battery indicator that will let you know when you’re powered up or when your battery is running down and needs to be replaced.
According to Kris Perpich, one of the co-founders of Adonit, the Adonit WRITER will begin shipping in early March. They’re still working with retailers, and it looks like the WRITER will most likely ship either directly from China or from a distributor in the US.
In case you’re wondering, Adonit also plans to support the next generation iPad once the product is released.
