Monster Helps Job Seekers With New iPad App
With the economy still sluggish and the job market tight as ever, it’s a great time to add new tools to your job search tool belt. One way to accelerate your job search is with the help of your iPad and the all new Monster job search app.
The career giant took the wraps off their new iPad app today which is part of their larger mobile strategy. Monster for iPad allows users to search, browse and apply for open positions all from the comfort of their iPad. The iPad app is fully integrated into Monster’s website allowing users to continue to use their normal Monster account login to do their job searches, access online resumes and cover letters.
The app includes the website’s most popular capabilities and adds in some unique mobile features such as location enabled job searches. With the help of the iPad’s location capabilities, users can refine job searches and look for jobs closest to their current location. It’s a great way to reduce the morning commute and save some gas.
Monster for iPad is the second iOS app from Monster. The company already released an iPhone app which has proven to be very popular with job searchers. According to the company, “seekers have conducted 1.5M job searches, viewed 3.1M jobs and applied for over 200,000 jobs” in the first five months the app was available in the App Store.
Monster designed the app to cater to discreet job seekers, those trying to keep their job search hush-hush. The Monster website sees its highest traffic during work hours and the company has found that a growing number of people are using their mobile devices to look for and apply for jobs instead of using their work computers.
Monster for iPad is available for free from the App Store.
