No one is better known for rhyming words and whimsical characters than Dr. Seuss and Oceanhouse Media continues to bring his classic children’s stories to life on the iPad, iPhone and iPod. Fox in Socks, the 16th Dr. Seuss app in the Oceanhouse Media collection, hit the App Store this week and it’s busy climbing its way up the charts.
“Fox in Socks is a classic read-aloud beginner book and our digital version is a title that has been highly anticipated,” said Michel Kripalani, Founder and President of Oceanhouse Media, Inc. “We’re proud that our apps continue to feature eye-catching graphics, easy-to-follow narratives and promote Dr. Seuss’s love of words and reading.”
We’ve reviewed a number of Oceanhouse Media apps over the past several months and recommend all of them; Fox in Socks is no exception. Fox in Socks offers three reading options (Read to Me, Read it Myself or Auto Play), letting readers make the choice that best fits their needs. They’ll see words highlight and pop up in the story as they’re read and watch picture/word association by having words zoom up and spoken when pictures are touched. Readers will also experience professional audio narration, as well as custom background audio for each scene.
Enjoy the text and artwork you know and love from Dr. Seuss every time you sit down to read Fox in Socks. You can download it from the App Store now for $3.99.
Oceanhouse Media plans to release all 44 of Dr. Seuss’ titles as universal apps for the iPad/iPhone and we’ll continue to keep you posted as they do.
