Dockem – A Wall Dock for iPad, iPhone and Other Devices

If you’re still weighing your options for wall-mounting accessories for your iPad and iPhone, you might want to help fund the Dockem accessory.
We’ve covered several accessories that have been developed via the Kickstarter initiative. Perhaps, the Kickstarter-funded Dockem might be just what you’re looking for.
The Dockem is a simple tablet or smartphone accessory that let you dock your device on the wall, or any vertical surface. It features a simple, but quite useful design with two parts that act as shelves for your iPad or other devices.
To install is quite simple. Simply space apart the two small shelves according to the size of the device you intend to use with the Dockem. The Dockem also includes a small tab that has been designed to prevent your device from falling forward out of the mount. You can mount both parts to a smooth surface by using 3M Command strips (glue-backed velcro strips) that can hold considerable weight. The Command strips are rated to hold up to 5lbs each. The Dockem will use two Command strips (one on each side), and the strips are rated as water, heat, and humidity resistant.

The Dockem does not feature the most beautiful industrial design, but it’s easy to install and compatible with many cases and skins. If approved by the Kickstarter initiative, it can become an useful accessory for many folks.
Editor’s Note: Dockem is being funded through Kickstarter, which is an initiative and way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors. Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands. The Dockem pre-orders are available for a $15 pledge at the Kickstarter website.
If you pledge $15, you will be mailed one injection molded Dockem complete with the necessary Command strips as soon as they are manufactured. It includes shipping within the United States. Shipping to Canada add $3, shipping international add $8.
