After playing around with Aweditorium, I’m convinced this is an application that lets you sit back and relax while discovering new artists, acts, and songs. Artists and songs that you’ve probably never heard about before. The application is built on a music database that features indie bands and artists from all over the world. There are quite a few U.S. and UK bands featured on the application.
What makes this application so addictive is all the factoids that pop up around your screen providing all kinds of information about the selected artist or act. The application also displays icons in the corner of the screen to give you access to full-screen videos from YouTube or Vimeo, and links to buy music from iTunes or share a song via Twitter or Facebook.
Aweditorium is an extremely well designed app. But, I would like to see more customization capabilities added to it. The user interface is so addictive that makes you want to have more functionality. For example, a way for you to recommend songs and find songs based on recommendations. Or, a way for you to personalize the music genres you want to focus on when discovering new music and artists. However, do not get distracted by my suggestions for this app. The application is fantastic for music fans, and it provides a very large grid and database to discover new music. I’m sure the developers will continue to add more features to Aweditorium.
