Grimm’s Rapunzel – 3D Interactive Pop-up Book for iPad
A few months ago I looked at Ideal Binary’s iPad app, Grimm’s Rumpelstiltskin – 3D Interactive Pop-up Book, and liked it but thought there was “potential for more.” Well, they released their newest app recently and they’ve definitely kicked things up a notch. Grimm’s Rapunzel – 3D Interactive Pop-up Book brings the story of Rapunzel and her golden hair to the iPad and iPhone in a fun 3D, pop-up storybook.
Kids will get a kick out of participating in this iPad /iPhone version of a classic story. It’s filled with beautiful old world illuminated manuscript style pages and readers have three reading options from which to choose: Read to Me, Read it Myself and Autoplay. The story alternates between pages of beautifully illustrated written text and interactive 3D pop-up scenes. Each pop-up scene engages readers by requiring them to participate in simple tasks. From planting flowers to taking care of a baby and tapping different objects on the pages, kids will have fun with all the interactive features included in this book.
Designed for use on both the iPad and iPhone, Grimm’s Rapunzel also supports three different languages (English, French and German) with narrations done by professional actors. A wonderful musical score and lots of sound effects keep readers intrigued and entertained.
Once again Ideal Binary has brought a classic Brother’s Grimm story to the iPad that parents and young kids will enjoy. My daughter and I loved the story of Rapunzel and enjoyed all the interactive features included in this modern version of the book.
If you’re planning to spend some quality time with your kids over the holidays and like to play on the iPad together, Grimm’s Rapunzel – 3D Interactive Pop-up Book is a great choice. You can download it from the App Store now for the introductory price of $1.99.
