An iPad “3-in-1″ Camera Connection Kit

Planning to take your iPad with you on the road during the holiday break? Perhaps, you’re a road warrior and looking for useful gadgets for your beloved iPad.

M.I.C. Gadget is selling a “3-in-1″ interface 30-pin connector for iOS devices. Instead of swapping out the USB and SD card slot with Apple’s camera connection kit, this new adapter puts it all together.

This new connection kit comes in the form of a single dongle, but it combines the functionality of Apple’s two-piece iPad Camera Connection Kit with a USB port and a SD/microSD memory card slot. The new connector comes in both black and white and is available for preorder for $29.90 from the M.I.C. Gadget store.

This new connector is not an official Apple product. It’s manufactured by a Chinese manufacturer. I know a few people that will give it a try.

    I checked the web site and there’s no info as to whether or not the USB port can charge an iPad while transferring photos from an SD Card?

    I have cameras that use both SD and microSD and will be using them with my iPad in Costa Rica, with limited power availability, which would be fantastic.

    They also sell an iPad to HDMI adaptor.

    My only concern (aside from actually working) would be if Apple decided to pull the plug (pun intended) and kill support of such things. They’ve done it before with other devices.
