11-Year-Old Designs dzdock One iPad Stand
Looking for a good iPad stand for yourself or maybe some promotional holiday gifts for your customers? If so, take a look at the dzdock One designed by eleven-year-old entrepreneur Dino Zaharakis.
When Dino’s dad created an impromptu stand to use for his iPad while reviewing summer camps, Dino pointed out several design flaws and suggested he could make something better. Out of those comments came a challenge. If Dino could design an iPad dock and website to market it, his dad would get him a phone. The rest, as they say, is history.
Five months of designing, planning and hard work have now led to the release of the dzdock One. Developed with several objectives in mind, the dzdock One accommodates the iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, Kindle and nook, as well as other tablets and smartphones, prompting the motto “All for One, One for all.”
The stand provides hands free usage, with or without a skin in portrait and landscape modes. It also lets users place/remove their device without disconnecting cables, eliminating the need to fish your cables through little holes every time you take your iPad off the stand . Video conferencing is ideal with optimized viewing angles, although this feature is not yet available on the iPad.
The dzdock One is made of aluminum in the USA and available in a variety of colors: black, white, silver, red, pink, lime and blue. You can purchase stands online from Amazon for $25.00 or the dzdock website until Christmas for $19.99, when you use the following promotional code – DZPRNEWS.
No word on whether or not Dino received his phone but we’re sure he’s learned a lot from this valuable creation experience.
