Ninety Second Song Previews in iTunes Now Available
Earlier today, Apple started rolling out a new iTunes feature: songs preview are now ninety seconds long, three times as much as what was available so far. The roll-out is still under way, so not all artists and albums offer this feature yet, but most major bands’s albums – including the Beatles – already offer the feature. The feature works with all flavors of iTunes, including the iPad and iPhone versions.
Once the roll-out is complete, most songs longer than two minutes and a half will offer the ninety seconds previews, while shorter songs will simply offer a thirty seconds preview.
