iPad at Number 10 Downing Street

We know iPads are in use at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but what about other well known political addresses? Are politicians in other parts of the world jumping on the iPad bandwagon too? It looks that way. According to Electricpig.co.uk, the iPad is also in use at Number 10 Downing Street in London.

Apparently, British Prime Minister David Cameron loves his iPad and is even a bit of an Apple fan with his MacBook Pro, iMac and iPod. During recent interviews with the British media, Cameron was more than willing to discuss his iPad. He shared the way he controls his musical collection on his iMac with The Telegraph,

I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve got an iMac and I’ve got a speaker remotely linked without a wire, which I did myself. I have all the music on the iMac. The cool thing is that I now control my iMac from the iPad, to play out through the speaker.

In another interview with Simon Schama from FT Magazine, Cameron requested Schama send his new series, The Power of Art, “in digital form, then I can get it on my iPad”.

You’ve got to hand it to the British and their high-tech addiction. The same country that has Q Branch outfitting 007, now has a Prime Minister using the best gadgets Apple has to offer.
