Get the “Ewww!” factor of Popping Pimples on your iPad

email

I love the great variety of iOS apps out there for the iPad but sometimes I have to ask myself “what was the developer thinking?” The latest app to catch my attention while I was browsing through iTunes is Pimple Popper Lite from Room Candy Games. An iPad pimple popping game? Really?

If you’re one of those people that just can’t get enough of squeezing blackheads, whiteheads and zits (you know who you are) then you’re the target customer for Pimple Popper Lite. Room Candy Games, the developer of the app, claims it is the number one downloaded pimple game for the iPhone and it’s the only zit squeezing app I could find that runs natively on the iPad. I never would have imagined that “zit games” were so competitive.

So what’s the goal of the game? You guessed it, find and pop all the zits on the face of a young man or woman.  Once you find those pesky oily pores, you’ll have to use a variety of techniques to pop them and make them go away. If the gross graphics don’t do it for you, then the corny sound effects certainly will.

According to the developer, Pimple Popper Lite promises to be a “zit zapping, pimple popping, squeeze-o-rama!” The app currently has a two and a half star rating in the app store but users seem to have a morbid fascination with the game with one  reviewer saying “This is disgusting. But it’s kind of addicting.”

If this sounds like the type of disgusting fun you want to have on your iPad, you can pickup a copy of Pimple Popper Lite for free from the app store.
