Apple Sued for iPad Overheating in Warm Environments

email

Bloomberg reported yesterday that a class action lawsuit, named Baltazar v. Apple Inc., has been filed against Apple in an Oakland, California federal court. The plaintiffs state that the iPad “overheats so quickly under common weather conditions that it does not live up to the reasonable consumer’s expectations created by Apple”.

While we did experience the issue with one of our iPads (see here for details), it only happened once, and we never managed to reproduce it in normal weather conditions, so we seriously doubt this lawsuit will go anywhwere. Wait and see.

Huh? My iPad never gets warm, even after hours of watching video. He must have a defective unit and a lawyer with plenty of time on his hands.

I get this issue when the ipad is exposed to direct sunlight.
