Looking to use your iPad more like your traditional notebook? An application option became available to you just a few days ago.

The mobile productivity company Quickoffice released Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad. This app lets you create, manage, edit, and view documents compatible with Microsoft’s Office suite. It also has built in support for multiple online storage services including Dropbox, MobileMe, Google Docs, and Box.net with drag-and-drop file management capability.

Quickoffice’s native iPad app was custom-built for your iPad to take advantage of the larger display. The app offers features that include:

  • Power edit mode: make edits across an entire document or spreadsheet with a multi-edit toolbox. Quickly format text, numbers, paragraphs, backgrounds and cells without opening and closing multiple menus.
  • Single-screen viewing: an intuitive way to navigate horizontally and vertically through folders and files, and conveniently review file information within a single-screen view.

  • Advanced touch controls: manage files with simple-to-use touch, tap and drag controls with an advanced connected file manager. Scroll in any direction and drag and drop to email, move, copy and delete files on the iPad or on supported remote storage accounts.
  • Smooth page scrolling: single-touch navigation to preview page thumbnails and jump to any page in any size document.

The iWork Suite already offers a good option for many with Pages, Numbers and Keynote. But, at $20 cheaper than iWork, Quickoffice Connect gives many of you an additional option, and lots of features to work and manage all your work documents. Quickoffice Connect is available on the App Store for $9.99.
