MotionX GPS Drive HD for iPad Just Released

We previously tried to use MotionX’s app MotionX GPS while on the road, and quickly came to the conclusion that the app was not suited for turn-by-turn navigation – the app is really geared toward hikers and campers. The folks at MotionX have finally released a turn-by-turn version of their app, called MotionX GPS Drive HD, and the app is already a favorite here at PadGadget, especially for only $2.99.
The app uses traditional 2D maps provided by NAVTEQ, and morphs them into pseudo-3D maps, to help you find your way around. Quick, simple, and very easy to use, the app instantly turns your iPad into a full-fledged GPS navigation system. MotionX GPS Drive HD also provides a very well designed real-time routing system, with live voice guidance. The feature is free for 30 days, and renewal is currently set at $2.99, via an in-app purchase. MotionX also offers a yearly option for $24.99. Unless you are on the road everyday, simply renew the live guidance feature when you really need it – and compared to most GPS navigation systems out there, MotionX GPS Drive HD‘s fee is a very small price to pay to have access to the latest and greatest maps available.
If you plan to go on vacation anytime soon, and happen to get lost simply because you do not have this app, only blame yourself, as MotionX GPS Drive HD is hands down one of the most affordable and most user-friendly GPS app for the iPad!
