iPad Quick Tip

Now that people are getting their iPads, we thought it would be good to start an iPad Quick Tips series to help users get the most out of their new gadget. We’ll post our tips on a regular basis so keep coming back to find out the latest tricks and tips.

Quick Web Scrolling: If you’re browsing a long webpage in Safari and want to get back to the top of the page quickly, simply tap the Status Bar at the top of your browser to be whisked back to the beginning of the web page you’re viewing.

    Here’s one I’ve seen a lot of people miss entirely, and I actually forgot about. This works on the iPhone, too.

    If you’re on a web page with a text box with its own scroll-bar (or what would be a scroll bar in any other environment), you can use a two-finger touch-and-drag to scroll within the subordinate text area. Just hold two fingers (e.g. index and middle) together, touch within the text-box, and slide them the way you would to scroll the page itself.
